Sue Johnson is published as a poet, short story writer and novelist. Since 1st January 2013, she has written a poem a day every day. Many of these have gone on to form the nucleus of short stories, monologues and scenes from novels. She is keen to inspire other writers and encourage them to write, even on days when they feel tired or uninspired.
This book is crammed with exercises that can be done in fifteen minutes – very helpful for those who are struggling with time management! It is helpful for all writers but would be particularly useful for writing tutors and anyone in creative recovery. It doesn’t matter how little you write or how rough your first ideas are. The main thing is to create something that can be worked on later. You can’t edit a blank page.
